History

The nursery "Knoppen" is a family owned business, owned and run by Bodil Simonsen and Keld Augustinussen. We have approximately 29.000 m² greenhouses where we produce pot plants.

We bought 56 Grønnegyden in 1991 and expanded production in 1998 by buying 68 Kirkegyden. In 2002 we expanded further through the purchase of 74 Grønnegyden.

Annually we produce approximately 4 million pot plants.
Spring and summer production is mainly Osteospermum and Daisy Crazy marguerites for planting out. For summer and fall we produce Cellosia and Gentiana. For the November and December sales we produce poinsettias. Furthermore we produce green plants for year round sales, among these are Callisia, trdescantia, peperonia and senecio.

We place great emphasis on creating a good working environment as we believe this is the main ingredient in creating high quality plants.

On average we have 25 people employed in the nursery.
